Join the Museum Today!

Whether you live in Oregon or somewhere on the other side of the world, we encourage you to join the Oregon Fire Service Museum. We enjoy the history of the fire service, and welcome anyone with a similar interest or a desire to help out our museum.

When you join, you are not only supporting the museum financially, but you open up a world of opportunities to become involved in a fun and exciting organization. We are always looking for people who can provide valuable knowledge and expertise to help us complete our building project and efficiently and effectively operate a museum.

The Oregon Fire Service Museum, Memorial & Learning Center is a private, non-profit educational institution whose main goal is to preserve and exhibit historical fire records, apparatus, equipment and memorabilia of Oregon’s Fire Service.

The board of directors for the Oregon Fire Service Museum meets the first Wednesday of each month in the basement of the Oregon Fire Service Center at 1244 Court St NE at Salem, at 6:30 PM (entrance at the back door). The meetings are open to all members, and you are encouraged to attend. The annual museum membership meeting is held in June each year (see Upcoming Events).

Group/Department
Membership

$2 per person annually

This membership option was designed specifically for volunteer fire department members, but all organizations are welcome to participate.

Once our museum is built, it will take an ongoing revenue source to keep the doors open and pay the day-to-day expenses of operating a museum.  Ongoing memberships are an essential component of our long-term funding strategy.   Your support will also help us convince granting entities that we can meet our ongoing revenue demands should they help fund our building construction with a grant.

We will be happy to met with your organization and make a presentation about the Oregon Fire Service Museum.  If you have never been to Antique Powerland (the site where we will build our museum), you are missing a treat.

If your organization  is interested in a group membership, or if you would like to receive a presentation on the Oregon Fire Service Museum and Antique Powerland, give us a call at 1-888-313-6873 and we will make arrangements to meet with your organization.
