Our Building Project

Until Phase 1 is complete, Oregon Fire Service Museum's collection will be stored in various donated storage locations thought Oregon. A portion of our apparatus and artifacts has been moved to the future home of Oregon Fire Museum in Brooks, Oregon during the Great Oregon Steam-Up (last week of July and the first week of August).  It is our goal to be in Phase 1 before next  year's event.

Phase 1 (2008)

Our first priority is the construction of a 130 foot by 94 foot apparatus display building at our museum site in Brooks, Oregon.  When complete, we will be able to get our apparatus collection under cover and open the museum to the public.

Phase 2 (2012)

In Phase 2 we will construct a two story replica fire station.  The first floor will include displays of hand-drawn and horse-drawn firefighting apparatus, an early fire alarm center, tools of the trade. The second floor will include a Chief's office, firefighter bunk room, and an interactive educational area.

Phase 3 (2013)

The final construction project at our museum site will be a memorial to honor Oregon's fallen firefighters.  No deed is greater than giving one's life in an attempt to save others.  We owe it to our fallen heroes that we never forget their sacrifice.
